Hiroto H.

Private tutor in Ballarat, Australia

Education

I attended the University of Melbourne, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Mathematical Physics. Before that, I attended the Melbourne International School of Japanese from 2002 to 2013. I am currently studying for a Master of Teaching specializing in Japanese and Mathematics.

Experience

I am fluent in Japanese and English. I scored 100% on the VCE Japanese speaking exam. I also have a JLPT N1 Certificate. My teaching experience includes two years of working at the Melbourne International School of Japanese as a Japanese and math assistant teacher. I have four years of experience tutoring Japanese, math, and business management. The VCE 3/4 subjects I have taken include Japanese, mathematical methods, specialist mathematics, further mathematics, English language, physics, music performance, legal studies, business management, and visual communication and design. Private tutoring is an excellent resource for students of all types, including students who have fallen behind in their coursework and those who need to be challenged. I can make difficult concepts more manageable by breaking them down into smaller steps.

Hobbies

I have an interest for research in Japanese culture due to my background, but being born in Australia, I find there are always new things to learn about a country's culture. Anime - just something I watch when I have the time:) Modern Philosophy, Physics and Politics - As teaching revolves around communication, needs, views around certain topics within society, I like to base what I teach with logic wherever possible to also broaden ways of learning. Website Construction - I am currently building a website to learn Japanese online in the most practical, flexible, and stressless way. www.selfstudyjapanese.com for anyone who wants to have a peek:) I don't quite have the time to update much of the content, but hope you can enjoy it:) Any suggestions would also be much appreciated!
